Welcome to the first installment of our "Before and After" series. On a daily basis we are testing parts and customizing processes for our customers and some of the results are eye opening. In this series we will showcase some of the before and after results we have achieved using our vibratory finishing equipment and tumbling media.
First up are some beautiful bronze succulent castings. The customer asked us to develop a process for cleaning and polishing.
Process Developed:
Machine: Mr Deburr DB300
- One Hour with Angle Cut Triangle 3/8 x 3/8 SF ceramic
- Thirty minutes with Angle Cut Cylinder 3/16 X 3/8 Polishing Ceramic
Results:
The dull bronze brown of the original cast was replaced with a brilliant gold luster. Lodging was a concern due to the petal features but media removal was not difficult and the results are truly stunning.
